‘Cooking Up A Storm’

The year 8 Catering Club rounded off a half term of culinary delights by making their own burgers and potato wedges. The last few weeks has seen them rustling up Thai Green Curry, Pizzas from scratch, Spaghetti Bolognese and Homemade Burgers.The children were given the opportunity to prepare, cook and best of all eat their own dishes. Each week the pupils decided what they wanted to cook and as a result have managed to cook dishes from around the world. In addition to gaining valuable new life skills, the children have thought about how to present their food so that it not only tastes great but looks fantastic too.
