Chris Mishner (8R) represented MMS in the Future Chef competition held at Gateshead College on the 9th December. All entrants were asked to plan and cook a two course meal for two people costing no more than £7.00. The meal had to be cooked within 90 minutes and plated attractively ready for judging. The judges awarded marks for workmanship, creativity and presentation, composition, flavour and menu balance. Chris prepared Stuffed Chicken wrapped in Parma Ham served with stacked roasted vegetables, vine tomatoes and lemon sauce. Followed by seasonal Apple Crumble and vanilla custard. Competition was stiff and Chris produced an amazing meal, but was not selected to go through to the next round. The judges made the following comments about Chris’ meal: excellent flavour combinations, apprentice level, restaurant standard and presentation on trend!
Well done Chris. A great ambassador for MMS!
